Social and Cultural Life
The Lodge values and supports the region’s dynamic art scene. We are proud to display a growing collection of local paintings and photography within our community. Currently, some of the artists you will find are such notable, regional artists as Isabelle Abbot, John Hulburt, Suzanne Tanner Chitwood, Helen Hilliard and Camilyn K. Leone gracing the walls of The Lodge.
Whether you are an artist, sportsman, naturalist, musician, historian, writer or lifelong student, there are sophisticated choices that appeal to our interesting and interested group of residents.
One of the primary reasons that people choose to move to The Lodge at Old Trail is the wonderful variety of options each day brings. Our location in the heart of Old Trail Village offers the choice of enjoying the countryside while knowing you’re only minutes from beautiful, historic Charlottesville, VA, The University of Virginia, Monticello and other areas of interest. With moderate weather almost year round, it’s easy to be out and about exploring. If you choose not to drive, The Lodge offers transportation in our Town Car or comfortable passenger bus.
When your family visits they’ll find that our community welcomes guests of all ages. We take care to include programs in our monthly calendar that will interest every generation of your family. There is great joy in discovering a new talent or a shared enjoyment of a favorite pastime.
