Respite Care

A short- term stay gives family caregivers the opportunity to take a vacation, spend time with family or simply take time for themselves.

Family caregivers, particularly those caring for a loved one with memory loss, often find that providing care at home may become physically and emotionally challenging.

In creating a plan to help maintain the health and well being of both the person receiving care and the caregiver many families supplement support services by arranging short-term respite stays in specialized Memory Care Assisted Living communities such as The Seasons. A short-term stay gives family caregivers the opportunity to take a vacation, spend time with family or simply take time for themselves.

Our respite stays are available for as few as two weeks up to several months. Comfortably furnished studio apartments are fully prepared for residents.  One needs only to bring clothing and personal items. The services and care are identical to that which our residents receive:

  • Personal care assistance
  • Medication management
  • Three meals a day
  • Life enrichment programming designed specifically for individuals with memory loss
  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry services

Prior to entering The Seasons for a short-term respite stay The Lodge at Old Trail requires a completed application, signed medical release forms and history and physical information from the individual’s primary care physician.  We will also complete an assessment to determine that we have the appropriate care and services in place for the visit.
